Correspondências entre os cabos submarinos de fibra óptica que atravessam o oceano interconectando em ultra velocidade Brasil e Portugal e o elogio à lentidão. Correspondências com a desaceleração do bambu ao equilibrá-lo na cabeça e caminhar pelas ruas das cidades. Correspondências entre representações que não nos representam, os sermões, as cartas, as imagens, os monumentos e a escrita, a escuta das línguas dos povos originários que nos são desconhecidas. Correspondências entre as ruas do Bairro Alto em Lisboa e o Pelourinho em Salvador. Correspondências entre um casal que dança na praia de Iracema em Fortaleza com um navio ao fundo ou em outro lugar qualquer sem um navio. Correspondências entre bambus em suspensão que possam conectar-se a outras cidades, cosmologias, perspectivas. Correspondências ao caminharmos juntos pelo bairro Alto em Lisboa a afixar cartazes e a equilibrar bambus. 

Caminhar lentamente é sentir o contato dos pés com os declives, com as texturas do piso, sentir a gravidade, o peso do corpo ou a sua leveza, perceber os pensamentos em movimentos acelerados ou em desaceleração, ver aquilo que não observamos antes, ainda que tenhamos visto essa mesma paisagem por muitas vezes.

Ao caminhar nas cidades cada uma adentra-se noutra, viajando por espaços que podem ser contrastantes, mas também similares, criando ambiguidades que possam resultar na criação de uma nova cidade. Essa afixação – “lambe lambe” – poderá interferir às vezes subtilmente, com colagens discretas; já em outras mais efusivas suscitando diálogos entre as paisagens das cidades.

Correspondences

Correspondences between the submarine optical fibre cables that cross the ocean interconnecting Brazil and Portugal in ultra-speed and the compliments to the slowness. Correspondences with the deceleration of the bamboo when balancing it on the head and when walking through the streets of the cities. Correspondences between representations that do not represent us, the sermons, the letters, the images, the monuments and the writing, the listening to the languages of the native people that are unknown to us. Correspondences between the streets of Bairro Alto, in Lisbon, and Pelourinho, in Salvador. Matches between a couple dancing on Iracema beach in Fortaleza with a ship in the background or in any other place without a ship. Correspondences between bamboos in suspension that can connect to other cities, cosmologies, perspectives. Correspondences while we walk together through the Bairro Alto in Lisbon placing posters and balancing the bamboos.

To walk slowly is to feel the contact of the feet with the slopes, with the textures of the ground, to feel the gravity, the weight of the body or its lightness, to perceive thoughts in accelerated or decelerated movements, to see what we have not observed before, even though we have seen this same landscape many times.

When walking through cities, each of them enters the other, travelling through spaces that can be contrasting but also similar, creating ambiguities that can result in the creation of a new city. This poster affixation – "lambe lambe" – can interfere sometimes subtly, with discreet collages; in others more effusively, creating dialogues between the landscapes of cities.

André Guedes é artista visual, cenógrafo e investigador. Estudou Arquitetura (FA-UL) e Antropologia do Espaço (FCSH-UL). É atualmente doutorando na Faculdade de Belas Artes (UL) e investigador associado no projeto TEPe (FMH-UL).

Margô Assis é bailarina, coreógrafa, performer, professora de dança e graduada em artes plásticas na Escola Guignard –UEMG, mora e trabalha em BH. Desenvolve projetos colaborativos em diversas áreas artísticas. https://cargocollective.com/multiplex

Pedro Núñez é bacharel em Educação Física (Universidad de Extremadura), licenciado em Dança pela Faculdade de Motricidade Humana (Universidade Técnica de Lisboa), completou o Curso de Pesquisa e Criação Coreográfica do Fórum Dança e é especialista em Expressão Artística e Dança (INEF Galiza). André Guedes is a visual artist, scenographer and researcher. He studied Architecture (FA-UL) and Space Anthropology (FCSH-UL). He is currently a PhD student at the Faculty of Fine Arts (UL) and an associate researcher in the TEPe project (FMH-UL).

Margô Assis is a dancer, choreographer, performer, dance teacher and has a degree in visual arts from Escola Guignard – UEMG. She lives and works in BH. She develops collaborative projects in various artistic areas. https://cargocollective.com/multiplex
