Os Espacialistas na Ópera

A arquitectura pede corpo, o corpo necessita de espaço para poder ex(er)citar alguns dos destinos e in/tensões com que foi magicamente projectado. A arquitectura é uma máquina ontológica de produção de afectos, que salva e guarda constantemente o corpo memorial, de quem a constrói, habita e pensa, em estado de actualização poética permanente. Coloca-nos em movimento, sempre que intensificamos os gestos diários e os transformamos em esculturas i/materiais, resultantes da essencialização poética da consciência, sobre as substâncias e matérias com que cada um de nós entra em contacto, nas várias actividades quotidianas.
O dia-a-dia transformado em laboratório artístico, de passagem dos gestos a formas criativas da consciência, torna-se assim o lugar do corpo por excelência, de reconhecimento permanente das potencialidades das re/acções humanas sempre à procura de novos sentires e novas re/parações.
Partir à descoberta da vocação artística do espaço quotidiano e exercitar o aparelho reprodutor artístico latente no corpo de cada um, é o sentido maior da vida do corpo no espaço.
Afectivamente o homem habi(li)ta o espaço, com novas formas de ser. A geometria é a relação de afecto que estabelece com a natureza.
O corpo é a in/consciência i/móvel e i/material do espaço. O corpo é a razão de ser do espaço em movimento. É ele que instiga todas as suas substâncias, essencializando-as, intensificando-as e actualizando-as através da memória e da imaginação, que o activam à medida que se desloca nele.
Nesta apresentação, Os Espacialistas vão dar figura ao som enquanto personagem narrativa. Vão revelar de que modo o som é capturado pelos esquissos fotográficos performativos que criam nos espaços por onde andam e de que modo o som ganha neles corpo e imagem.
Os Espacialistas partem em direcção ao espaço, em busca das figuras (corporais) do som. Cheios de afigurações sonoras vão apresentar fragmentos e projectos onde o som está na génese das imagens criadas. O som, enquanto figura em construção e o som enquanto outra forma de ser corpo e espaço, será apresentado a partir do projecto “Os Espacialistas na Ópera”, onde ópera enquanto género artístico e ópera enquanto obra de construção “gritam-se” conceitualmente na apanha das imagens-som de cada uma.

Architecture asks for body, the body needs space to be able to express some of the destinations and in/tensions with which it was magically designed. Architecture is an ontological machine for the production of affects, which constantly saves and guards the memorial body of those who build, inhabit and think it, in a state of permanent poetic updating. It sets us in motion, whenever we intensify our daily gestures and transform them into i/material sculptures, resulting from the poetic essentialization of consciousness, on the substances and materials that each of us comes into contact with in the various daily activities.
The day-to-day transformed into an artistic laboratory, from gestures to creative forms of consciousness, thus becomes the place of the body par excellence, of permanent recognition of the potential of human reactions, always in search of new feelings and new repairs.
Departing to discover the artistic vocation of everyday space and exercising the artistic reproductive apparatus latent in each one’s body is the greatest meaning of the life of the body in space.
Affectively, man inhabits space, with new ways of being. Geometry is the affective relationship he establishes with nature.
The body is the i/mobile and i/material in/consciousness of space. The body is the reason of being of space in motion. It is he who instigates all its substances, essentializing them, intensifying them and updating them through memory and imagination that activate it as it moves through it.
In this presentation, Os Espacialistas will portray sound as a narrative character. They will reveal how sound is captured by the performative photographic sketches they create in the spaces where they walk and how sound gains body and image in them.
Os Espacialistas depart towards space, in search of the (bodily) figures of sound. Full of sound figurations, they will present fragments and projects where sound is at the genesis of the images created.
Sound as a figure under construction and sound as another way of being body and space will be presented from the project “Os Espacialistas na Ópera”, where opera as an artistic genre and opera* as a construction work are conceptually “screamed” in the capture of the sound images of each one.
*Opera comes from the latin Opus that means work and which in turn in Portuguese has a double meaning and can mean work and construction.

Os Espacialistas é um projecto laboratorial de investigação teórica e prática das ligações transdisciplinares entre Arte, Arquitectura e Educação com início de actividade em 2008. Substituem o lápis pela máquina fotográfica, enquanto dispositivo de desenho, de pensamento, de percepção e de diagnóstico do espaço natural e construído, cujas acções são reguladas pelo Diário do Espacialista e auxiliadas pelo “Kit Espacialista Por/táctil” que transportam consigo.

Os Espacialistas is a laboratorial project of theoretical and practical research on the connections between Art and Architecture, which started in 2008. They substitute the pencil for the camera as a device for drawing, thinking, perception and diagnosis of natural and built space, whose actions are regulated by the Spatialist’s Diary and aided by the “Portable Spatialist Kit” they carry with them.
